Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen sent a letter to President Trump on Tuesday detailing the conversation he had about Kilmar Abrego Garcia with the vice president of El Salvador.

F or the past month, Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen of Maryland has been thrust into an international standoff as he tries to secure the return of a Salvadoran national who had been living in Maryland when the Trump Administration mistakenly sent him to prison in El Salvador.

The Maryland Democrat accused the president of “gross violations of the Constitution and due process rights” and demanded the return of an immigrant and Maryland resident imprisoned in El Salvador.
