Aston Villa have confirmed winger Leon Bailey has joined Roma on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy. Bailey joined Villa in the summer of 2021 from Bayer Leverkusen and has made a total of 144 appearances, scoring 22 goals.

MILAN: AS Roma have signed Jamaican international winger Leon Bailey on loan from Aston Villa, the Serie A club said today. In a statement, Roma said that they have an option to make Bailey’s one-year loan move permanent, reportedly for a fee of €22 million.

Reggae Boyz winger Leon Bailey has arrived in Rome, Italy, following his loan to AS Roma from Aston Villa. Bailey was expected to be unveiled by the Serie A club on Tuesday, with his agent Craig Butler having arrived in the country earlier to finalise the deal.

Before getting into the car that would drive him to Roma’s sports center, Bailey took photos with the fans and exclaimed, “Forza Roma!”
