The New Jersey Devils have done some roster shuffling in advance of their game on Sunday against Philadelphia.

The Devils executed several moves at the 2025 NHL trade deadline, including adding forward Cody Glass from the Penguins and defenseman Dennis Cholowski from the Islanders.

The Devils have several needs, notably a center or two — especially if Jack Hughes is out long-term — and a top-six winger. But they don’t have a first-round pick in 2025, their prospect pool is not considered the strongest and they don’t have a lot of cap space, perhaps making an impact trade more of a challenge.

NHL Trade Deadline was underwhelming for the New Jersey Devils. However, it could be buoyed if the Devils GM is successful in one of his next tasks.
