When prized pitching prospect Nolan McLean makes his eagerly awaited MLB debut on Saturday, manager Carlos Mendoza just wants the right-hander to do his part.

Nolan McLean had just finished up his bullpen session on Wednesday when Triple-A Syracuse pitching coach A.J. Sager had some news to share.

"I tried not to get emotional," McLean said about his start on Saturday. "And then I called my mom. She was crying, and I got pretty emotional then."
