Nearly a week after flooding, an Oakland County road remains closed as officials figure out how to fix it. The Road Commission for Oakland County announced Monday it is reviewing repair options and does not have an estimated reopening time since a record amount of rainfall on July 16 caused the road to flood.

Several areas are at risk of locally heavy rains and potential flooding, including parts of the Mid-South and Appalachian region, as well as the South and Midwest.

The National Weather Service released a flood advisory at 8:40 a.m. on Monday in effect until 11:30 a.m. The advisory is for Johnson, Leavenworth, Wyandotte, Clay, Jackson, Platte and Cass counties.
