Monday, the 44th annual Martin Luther King Jr. day parade kicked off in Savannah. A good turnout despite the cold weather. Nearly 300 different community groups, organizations and businesses all walked in the parade.

On a chilly Monday morning hundreds gathered downtown for the annul Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade to celebrate his life and legacy.

Savannah will celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Monday with the 44th annual parade through downtown. The parade, organized by the Martin Luther King Jr. Observance Day Association, starts at 10 a.m. Expect cold temperatures, large crowds and several major road closures.
