Four-time London champion Eliud Kipchoge and Olympic champions Sifan Hassan and Tamirat Tola among the favorites in Sunday's London Marathon.

Ethiopia's Tigst Assefa made up for her second spot last year to coast home in the women's London Marathon in a world record time of 2hr 15min 50sec on Sunday.

Eliud Kipchoge, widely known as the greatest marathon runner of all time, will return to London for the first time since 2020 and chase a fifth victory. Jacob Kiplimo, the world record holder in the half-marathon, will make his debut at the full distance.
