After weeks of uncertainty, Tennessee Vols defensive back Boo Carter was on the field with his teammates for the first day of fall practice. Carter went through stretches with his teammates, but he didn't participate in practice.

Tennessee coach Josh Heupel said Tuesday that sophomore defensive back Boo Carter is with the Volunteers as they start preseason practice. When Carter gets back on the field, however, remains to be seen after he reportedly missed workouts this summer.
