Cincinnati Bengals receiver Tee Higgins suffered an apparent injury during the third quarter of the team's NFL Week 6 loss to the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. Higgins was evaluated after making a catch near the goal line.
Wide receiver Tee Higgins caught a pass from quarterback Joe Flacco in the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers. While it wasn't apparent that Higgins hit his head, it was enough evidence for the NFL's neurological team to alert the officials that Higgins needed to be taken off the field.
Higgins recorded five receptions on eight targets for 62 yards in Sunday's 27-18 loss to the Packers. This was far from a standout performance from Higgins, but it did represent his highest reception and yardage totals of the season.
Bengals' head coach Zac Taylor delivered a vote of confidence in Tee Higgins and the rest of the offense on Thursday, Sept. 25.
Taylor is in his seventh year as the Bengals' coach. He led the team to the Super Bowl in 2022, where Cincinnati lost to the LA Rams at the final hurdle. However, the Bengals have not made the playoffs in each of the past two seasons, which has put some added pressure on Taylor this season.
