Washington put up a formidable effort against the defending champions, but they came up short against an Eagles side that was coming off a dominant 31-0 shutout of the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 15. Philly secured a 29-18 win to improve to 10-5 on the season.
Diggs is set to return ahead of Week 16, while fellow corner DaRon Bland was placed on season-ending injured reserve.
It’s also official that the Cowboys have gone 30 years without playing in an NFC Championship. They last played in the game to get to the Super Bowl in January 1996, against the Packers.
The last time Trevon Diggs saw action for the Dallas Cowboys was in Week 6 in a 30-27 loss to the Carolina Panthers. The All-Pro cornerback has since missed eight straight games due to a knee injury as well as a concussion sustained from a home incident.
The Dallas Cowboys made several moves at the cornerback position as they prepare to face the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 16.
It’s been a rough last month for the Chargers offense and it’s been especially tough for wideout Ladd McConkey who went from a record-breaking rookie campaign to a ho-hum sophomore season thanks to a very inconsistent passing game.
