The NYC area is bracing for a major winter storm that's set to hit the region with heavy snow on top of dangerous, subfreezing weather.
A blast of Arctic air is moving across the eastern U.S. this weekend, bringing dangerously cold temperatures and a winter storm to New York.

It’s still snowing on and off in some parts of the state, but new snowfall totals are in for the storm that slammed the state on Sunday and Monday. The most snow fell in Ulster and Greene counties, where three places reported 22 inches.
Clouds increase Tuesday afternoon, with a few passing snow showers in northern New York. It will be seasonable, with highs in the upper 20s. Tonight won't be as cold, with lows in the single digits and teens.
More than a foot of snow has piled up across New York since Sunday morning as a massive winter storm hit New York. In some parts of the state, more snow is expected this week. Some spots could see as much as two feet by Tuesday evening, forecasters said.
