COLUMBIA — A strong end to the third quarter helped South Carolina women's basketball to an 83-57 win over Alabama in its SEC opener on Jan. 1 in Colonial Life Arena. The No. 3 Gamecocks (14-1) held the No. 24 Crimson Tide (14-1) to zero points for the final five minutes of the third.
