As Southern California recovers from last month’s devastating wildfires, heavy rains Thursday resulted in pockets of flooding, blocked roadways and mud piling up around recent burn scars.

Evacuation orders and warnings have gone into effect for burn scar areas across Southern California as heavy rainfall threatens dangerous debris flows.

The Los Angeles Fire Department on Wednesday announced evacuation warnings that will take effect at 7 a.m. Thursday for areas in the city near recent burn areas due to high mudslide and debris flow risks.
