Maxine Waters Believes Trump is ‘Working Toward a Civil War’
Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) said Thursday she believes President Donald Trump wants to stoke “violence,” and his endgame is a “civil war.” The California Democrat said multiple times at a conference for the Congressional Black Caucus that Trump had been planning for an armed conflict since well before last November’s election.
Democrat Issues 'Civil War' Warning
Speaking alongside fellow Black House Democrats, Waters addressed policies from the Trump administration that she saw as problematic, including the tariffs on Mexico and Canada, Elon Musk 's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), and the firing of federal workers.
