Jose Altuve hit a go-ahead two-run single in the sixth inning to move into second place on Houston’s career hits list and the Astros beat the Colorado Rockies 5-3.

Altuve’s two-out, two-run single broke a tie in the sixth inning and lifted Houston to a 5-3 victory over the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. Three relievers protected the lead it provided after a stubborn six innings by starter Hunter Brown.

The Colorado Rockies (19-66) will host the Houston Astros (51-34), in the second game of a three-game series, Thursday at 3:10 p.m. ET. The Astros are away from home and heavy favorites (-286) at the Rockies (+230). The Astros will give the ball to Brandon Walter (1-1) versus the Rockies and Kyle Freeland (1-9).
