Some areas of North Texas experienced damage from high winds and rain after the region was under a severe thunderstorm warning and a tornado watch early Tuesday morning. The National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office had a severe thunderstorm warning in effect for Dallas County until 6:30 a.

On Tuesday, thunderstorms across the region brought strong gusts of winds that caused damage in the early morning and will remain a threat throughout the day.

-Damaging winds and tornadoes are the biggest threats, especially in areas shaded red below. The threat of a strong tornado (EF2 or greater damage) is most likely in southern Arkansas, the northern half of Louisiana, central and southern Mississippi, southern Alabama and the western Florida Panhandle.
