Daredevil: Born Again is set to introduce the late Kamar de los Reyes as Hector Ayala’s White Tiger. But who is the character in Marvel Comics?

Created by writer Bill Mantlo and legendary artist George Pérez, who shared the hero's Puerto Rican heritage, Ayala was a street smart vigilante who used the power of three so-called Jade Tiger amulets which originated in Iron Fist's heavenly city of K'un-Lun to gain superhuman strength and agility.

Born Again is the name of a Daredevil comic book run that was largely celebrated for its gritty and cerebral storytelling. Speculations have run wild with regard to how much of that story is going to play into the narrative of the show, but Vincent D’Onofrio has come out with some details of the story.
