Riccardo Orsolini scored twice to help Bologna boost its chances of qualifying for the Champions League again. Bologna fought back to beat relegation-threatened Cagliari 2-1 in Serie A and move within two points of fourth-placed Juventus.

Bologna talents Santiago Castro and Benjamin Dominguez and Como’s Maximo Perrone have received their first call-ups to the senior Argentina national team. Several Serie A stars feature in Argentina’s preliminary squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay and Brazil.
