The Jeep brand, owned by Stellantis, is set to commence production of the next-generation Jeep Compass in Italy ahead of its debut in Europe this spring.
In addition to more electric muscle and range for the Wrangler 4xe, the 2026 model year will see Jeep debut the long-anticipated Gladiator 4xe
Stellantis on Wednesday reported a sharp drop in full-year earnings as the company scrambles to take measures to improve its performance and profitability.
Stellantis sank to a net loss in the second half of last year as the world’s fourth-largest carmaker suffered a drop in sales across all of its key markets. The owner of the Peugeot, Fiat and Jeep brands reported a net loss of €127mn for the period compared with a profit of €7.7bn a year earlier. Revenue fell 21 per cent to €71.9bn.
Stellantis, and it has reported a significant 70 per cent drop in profit just a few months after its CEO resigned.
