WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Joe Biden's administration has protected about 84%, or $96.7 billion in clean energy grants created by its signature climate law from any clawback by the next administration, a White House official said on Friday.

WASHINGTON — The Biden administration has distributed at least $27.6 billion of dollars in financing to clean-energy companies in its final days before President-elect Donald Trump takes office.

President Joe Biden traveled to South Carolina, the state that helped catapult him to the White House, on his final full day in office.
