According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Washington Wizards gave real consideration to acquiring Bradley Beal from the Phoenix Suns. The Wizards traded Beal to the Suns in the summer of 2023.

The Washington Wizards were quite active during the recent NBA trade deadline. They retooled around their young core, bringing in veterans Khris Middleton and Marcus Smart while moving Kyle Kuzma.
