President Donald Trump phoned Sen. Susan Collins and laid into the senator for voting in favor of a war powers measure this week.

“Republicans, when in doubt, vote the exact opposite of Senator Susan Collins,” Trump said in a social media post. “Generally speaking, you can’t go wrong. Thank you for your attention to this matter and, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

The Maine senator has consistently won reelection in a blue state thanks to support from independents and some Democrats.

He said the five Republicans who voted to advance a bill to restrict the American military’s presence in Venezuela should never be elected again.
