The Houston Texans found a way to rebound from a frustrating Monday night performance to beat the San Francisco 49ers 26-15. The win brings the Texans to 3-4 on the season and makes DeMeco Ryans 1-0 against his former employer and coaching mentor Kyle Shanahan.

The San Francisco 49ers entered Week 8 as the top team in the NFC West, but their loss to the Houston Texans dropped them into wild card position and barely hanging on to that. It wasn’t that long ago that San Francisco was the top team in the NFC.

The Cardinals, Seahawks and Rams were all idle. They had their byes.
