The Houston Rockets started their summer league play this week as they were defeated by the Los Angeles Clippers 95-92. The game's score wasn't the biggest storyline, as second-year guard Reed Sheppard had a great scoring night.

His teammates Nate Williams, Dante N’Faly and Kevon Harris are huddled around Sheppard like he’s drawing up a game-winning play, clinging to every word while the rest of the summer league team scrimmages against a select team from the Japanese B.

The second-year guard had 28 points and also played strong defense as he helped Houston rally from a double-digit deficit.
