Brunson suffered a sprained right ankle in New York's overtime loss to the Lakers on Thursday and his looming absence could be costly

Not only did the New York Knicks suffer a tough loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, but they also lost star guard Jalen Brunson to an ankle injury late in overtime. Brunson scored 39 points and had 10 assists and had the Knicks on the verge of what would’ve been an important win.

It’s time for New York’s big investment to begin paying dividends: The Knicks need Bridges to show up on offense in addition to his role as the team’s point of attack defender. He is averaging 17.2 points per game this season but has not been consistent in being an impactful offensive player. The Knicks will also need to up Towns’ usage.
