A 46-year-old woman died Thursday when she mauled by a pack of dogs at a Tuscaloosa County home. Tuscaloosa County sheriff’s deputies, NorthStar EMS, Echola Volunteer Fire Department and animal control officers were dispatched at 9 a.m. Thursday to a medical call in the 13000 block of Boyd Road.

The morning of Feb. 6, the woman went to the property to feed the dogs for their owner, deputies said. Then at about 9 a.m., someone called 911 to report a pack of dogs was mauling a woman in the front yard of a home.

Tuscaloosa VCU says the incident occurred in the yard and on the property that the dogs belonged to, and the woman went to the residence to feed the dogs for the owner, who was out of town.
