Outside shooter Duncan Robinson is joining the Detroit Pistons on a three-year, $48 million deal as part of a sign-and-trade with the Miami Heat, according to multiple reports on Tuesday.

The Pistons needed an elite shooter following news of Malik Beasley's gambling investigation and Tim Hardaway Jr.'s departure to the Denver Nuggets.

Duncan Robinson's time with the Miami Heat has come to an end after seven seasons. Per ESPN's Shams Charania, the sharpshooter signed a three-year, $48 million deal with the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday. According to Charania, the deal is a sign-and-trade that sends Simone Fontecchio to Miami.
