Measurable rainfall in Phoenix stops us just shy of dry-streak record
PHOENIX — Today was going to tie the record for longest dry streak in Phoenix, but a tenth of an inch of rain was all it took to stop that from happening. Wednesday would have been the 160th day without rain, tying the 160-day record set in 1972. However, Sky Harbor Airport, our official monitoring site, recorded 0.1" of rainfall around 9 a.m.
