The 2025-26 Premier League season is officially underway for Tottenham Hotspur as the Lilywhites made their debut under Thomas Frank in style, drubbing Burnley 3-0 on Saturday.

Spurs were in European action on Wednesday night, falling to an agonising penalty-shootout defeat to Paris Saint-Germain having held a 2-0 lead in the 85th minute.

Frank’s side threatened little for the rest of the half, allowing Burnley to grow into the game, but a moment of magic from Richarlison put Spurs in control — Kudus wriggled free down the right and sent in a cross for the Brazilian, whose acrobatic volley left Dubravka with no chance. Brennan Johnson added a third six minutes later.

Newcastle has lacked a cutting edge without star striker Alexander Isak and drawn at Aston Villa 0-0 in the Premier League opening round.
