Three former Memphis were acquitted Wednesday of state charges, including second-degree murder, in the fatal beating of Tyre Nichols after he ran away from a traffic stop in 2023.

Despite being found not guilty in state court, all three have been convicted in federal court and face time in federal prison.

A jury found the three men not guilty of all charges in connection with the 2023 fatal beating, including the most serious charge of second-degree murder.
