SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Upon welcoming quarterback Brock Purdy and receiver Ricky Pearsall back from extended injury absences on Sunday, the San Francisco 49ers viewed their Week 11 game against the Arizona Cardinals as the most important contest on their schedule.
Brock Purdy returned from a six-game absence to throw three touchdowns as the 49ers (7-4) romped to a 41-22 win over the host Cardinals (3-7).
Brock Purdy came through the Arizona game healthy, but kicker Eddy Piñeiro and linebacker Tatum Bethune did not.
Walter Nolen III, a defensive tackle out of Ole Miss, was scouted by the 49ers, who instead took Mykel Williams with the No. 11 pick in the first round. Nolen went to the Cardinals at No. 16 and didn’t make his debut until two weeks ago because of a late-July calf injury.
