About Bloodstone

March has two birthstones, bloodstone and aquamarine, and although bloodstone came first, aquamarine is definitely the better-known of the two, so that's the one we will start with. A member of the beryl family, alongside emerald and morganite, aquamarine has a documented history going back to ancient Sumeria.
