The Kansas Department of Revenue is rolling out the new Kansas “blackout” license plates this summer. Beginning on July 1, you can purchase a blackout plate from your local country treasurer. The plates will be available for standard passenger vehicles and for motorcycles. The one-time fee is $40, and the annual royalty fee is $50.
