The Hale Hawaiʻi has officially reopened at Kepaniwai Heritage Gardens in Wailuku. Last week’s blessing ceremony honored the park’s history and the many hands that helped restore the cherished gathering place in ʻĪao Valley, a project five years in the making. Kumu Kaponoʻai Molitau, Director of the County of Maui’s ʻOiwi Resources, led the blessing and emphasized the care and intention behind rebuilding Hawaiian spaces. Students from Ke Kula ‘O Pi‘ilani School offered oli and hula connected to
