Second Minister for Trade and Industry Dr Tan See Leng explained that although wholesale electricity market prices are now low, electricity prices will inevitably normalise. To prevent sharp price spikes, the Government will introduce more renewable energy into the energy mix, enhance efficiency of power systems and minimise the impact on prices.
