People have asked me many times about power adapters and their specs: voltage, current, power... Not everyone understands what makes one adapter compatible with a particular device. More specifically, one might assume that an excessive power or current rating may damage the connected load or device. But in reality, the device being powered will only pull as much power as it is designed to. A current rating is merely the technical maximum for a particular adapter.
