We love snorkeling around the canopy of our extensive kelp forests. During summer they vibrant and productive places full of life. Look out for seals hiding under the kelp fronds, fish like pollack and wrasse, and tiny critters like nudibranchs and blue rayed limpets. Even some small sharks like spurdogs and catsharks. Another area which always elicits intrigue from our snorkeling guests is the open ocean. Most people are surprised about the amount of life contained within the water column. Small zooplankton zipping about, ctenophores, jellyfish - all sorts of weird and wonderful creatures. The creature in this video is a comb jelly, confusing it’s not actually a true jellyfish. However it’s still gelatinous and hangs about in the water column so they kinda just get lumped into being called jellies anyway. The
